Docteur Morgan - World Sports

Unlike monsieur or madame, when used as a title in a sentence docteur takes the definite article: j'ai parlé avec le docteur Tremblay. In French, docteur is much less used as a title with the name of holders of academic doctorates than Doctor is in English. Borrowed from Latin doctor, see doctor, doctur, etc.
